The Torque Masters Car Club Entrance Award

Applicants must:

  • Be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Be pursuing post-secondary education in the Fall semester within 12 months of high school graduation
  • Have attained outstanding academic achievement (B average or higher) upon high school graduation (grade 11 and 12)
  • Must be graduating from either the Greater Victoria School District #61 or the Saanich School District #63 and be within 12 months of high school graduation
  • Must be enrolled or planning to enroll in the upcoming Fall semester in the Automotive Service Technician Foundation full time program
  • Be able to demonstrate contributions to community, or high school, through volunteer or extra-curricular activites

Application Process

  • Complete the online application. Paper/printed applications will not be accepted.
  • Adjudication of this award will be managed by the Financial Aid and Awards office. All decisions are final.
  • Successful recipients will be notified by email by December 1.
  • Award will be applied directly to the student account. If tuition and fees have already been paid, the surplus amount will be refunded.

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Complete and submit one application only
  2. Upload your supporting documentation in PDF format. Mailed/faxed/emailed copies will not be accepted.
  3. Check for errors prior to submitting; NO CHANGES are permitted after submitting
  4. DEADLINE: Submit your application no later than 11:59 pm, October 17, 2023. Late applications will not be processed.

Section D - Camosun College Entrance Award Declaration

I understand and agree by clicking “Yes” below it means that:

  1. I am a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada and have a valid Canadian Social Insurance Number. Successful applicants will be required to provide their Social Insurance Number.
  2. I have answered all questions completely and accurately.
  3. I consent to Camosun College Financial Aid & Awards staff checking or verifying information on this application.
  4. If I give answers that are not true or if changed circumstances make me ineligible, I will be required to pay back all or part of the entrance award I received.
  5. If I am receiving income assistance, student loan/grant or other government funding, I am required to notify the appropriate government office of the amount of entrance award funding I have been granted.
  6. I consent that the Financial Aid & Awards office may release application information to the Camosun College Foundation Office and to the entrance award donor.
  7. If I receive $500 or more in entrance awards funds in one year, a statement for income tax purposes will be sent to me by Camosun College.
  8. I understand that entrance awards funds will be applied to any outstanding tuition fees.
