All applicants must:

  • Have taken one or more years off after high school to pursue other activities such as work or travel. Minimum not enrolled in any high school or post-secondary courses.
  • Have attained achievement (B average or higher) upon high school graduation (grade 11 and 12).
  • Be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident. 
  • Be accepted into an eligible Camosun College Post-Secondary Program and enrolled or planning to enroll full-time in the Fall semester.
  • Be able to demonstrate ways in which you have contributed to your community

 Application Process

  • Complete the Camosun College Entrance Award online application. Paper/printed applications will not be accepted. 
  • Applications will be accepted from March 1 to August 1.  Late, incomplete or printed applications will not be accepted.
  • Adjudication of this award will be managed by the Financial Aid and Awards office. All decisions are final. 
  • Successful recipients will be notified by email by October 1.
  • Award will be applied directly to the student account. If tuition and fees have already been paid, the surplus amount will be refunded.

Instructions:

  1. Complete and submit one application only.
  2. Complete all required sections of the application.
  3. Upload your supporting documentation in PDF format. Mailed/faxed/emailed copies will not be accepted.
  4. Check for errors prior to submitting; NO CHANGES are permitted after submitting
  5. DEADLINE: Submit your application no later than 11:59 pm, August 1. Late applications will not be processed.

Section D - Camosun College Entrance Award Declaration

I understand and agree by clicking “Yes” below it means that:

  1. I am a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada and have a valid Canadian Social Insurance Number. Successful applicants will be required to provide their Social Insurance Number. 
  2. I have answered all questions completely and accurately. 
  3. I consent to Camosun College Financial Aid & Awards staff checking or verifying information on this application. 
  4. If I give answers that are not true or if changed circumstances make me ineligible, I will be required to pay back all or part of the entrance award I received. 
  5. If I am receiving income assistance, student loan/grant or other government funding, I am required to notify the appropriate government office of the amount of entrance award funding I have been granted. 
  6. I consent that the Financial Aid & Awards office may release application information to the Camosun College Foundation Office and to the entrance award donor. 
  7. If I receive $500 or more in entrance awards funds in one year, a statement for income tax purposes will be sent to me by Camosun College. 
  8. I understand that entrance awards funds will be applied to any outstanding tuition fees.

The information on this form and all supporting documents may be verified with Camosun College Student Records; with faculty and staff to verify your registration, class attendance, progress, grade point average and other details related to your eligibility for this Entrance Awards.
